Wooden House

That little wooden house down by the sea
That always meant so much to me
To think about life and history
Devotion, dementia and dignity
A nasty little twister swept it away
There's nothing else or more to say
That little wooden house is now debris
I wonder if it knew its destiny
Who cares about the house we live in?
Who cares about the thoughts we're givin'?
Who cares if the wood is rotten?
And soon it'll be forgotten
And soon it'll be forgotten
No-one cares about the house we live in
No-one cares about the thoughts we're givin'
No-one cares if the wood is rotten
And soon we're all forgotten
And soon we're all forgotten
I wish I could look through anyone's eyes
Or at least glimpse on their plans devised
What did happen to make us blinded
So amazingly reckless minded
Who cares about the house we live in?
Who cares about the thoughts we're givin'?
Who cares if the wood is rotten?
And soon it'll be forgotten
And soon it'll be forgotten
No-one cares about the house we live in
No-one cares about the thoughts we're givin'
No-one cares if the wood is rotten
And soon we're all forgotten
And soon we're all forgotten
And soon we're all forgotten
And soon we're all forgotten
And soon we're all forgotten
And soon we're all forgotten
And soon we're all forgotten
And soon we're all forgotten
